From frustration to platform
Nordic Surgery Lab grew out of a simple observation: surgical knowledge is powerful, but poorly distributed. The best decision support lives inside the heads of senior surgeons — and is unavailable after hours, in smaller hospitals, or at the start of a trainee's career.
We started with PlastSurgeon — a clinical handbook and learning platform for plastic surgery trainees. Then came JPBRS, an open-access journal to give surgeons a publishing outlet outside traditional gatekeepers. Then SurgAI, to put that knowledge to work in emergency departments when specialists are not available.
Each product stands alone. Together, they form a platform — and a business model built around institutional procurement.
